Went to camp last week, from wed to fri (9-11 feb'11)
First Day:(Before we reach the campsite)
After all the adminstrative work done, my class board the bus and waited for quite long before we left the school. I sat the back with my new classmates as my partner did not come for the camp..
~Reach the entrance~
When we reach the entrance, we have to walk across the "unstable" bridge with our things. While walking across, we have to hold very tightly at the side so tat we will not fall. the bridge is hung at a very high height and if we fall, i duno wat would happen...
After we reach the canteen, we put our bags down, outside the canteen and took our utensils with us and have our lunch. We did not use our plates, they provided us with brown paper to put our food. They taught us how to fold the paper in order to have space for the food.
After our lunch, we proceed to team-building games and left our things there, carrying our Day pack along with us..
~After the games~
We are allowed to choose our own tentmates and we are allocated tents. There are strictly only 6-7 people per tents for girls- no more, no less. As for the boys, i didnt hear wat the instructor said.
After we put our things, we can go to bathe and rest or clean our tents for an hour. I have 7 tentmates, including me. The 5 of us went to bathe while the other 2 stayed behind the clean up some parts of the tent.
~After an hour~
We are asked to assemble at the canteen with our Day-pack for our dinner.
~After Dinner~
The instructor gave us instruction on the next day's activity: The Jungle Expedition.
~After the instructions~
We had debrief my our owm instructors and write our reflections on the booklet given to us. After the reflection, we have to give back the booklet because they did not want to collect crumpled or torn booklets.
~After Debrief~
Went to sleep
~In the middle of the night~
At 1.56am,my classmates from the next tent make very loud noises, they woke up my tentmates and i. They talked and laughed very loud and care only about themselves, they did not think about others and continued like they were the only ones there!! I asked them to keep quiet because they woke all of us up and one of them asked there are ANTS!! Then they contonued to talk, and even louder this time until when the other one of them said tat its already half-an-hour, but they still continued.. Until the instructors came and asked them to keep quiet, but they still argued.. Finally, there is some peace and quiet..
Before 1.56am, i heard 2 female instructors chatting very loud too, i thought it only woke me up at tat time..
~6.10am~
I called my tent mates to wake up amd we are asked to assembled at the canteen for breakfast 6.50am.
~After breakfast~
We proceed to water activities!!
~After Water Activites~
We had some time to wash up and campfire preparation before the expedition..
~Time for Expedition~
Everyone sprayed and put on lots of insect repellent because they r afraid of leeches.. At the end of the expedition, none of my batch is very "lucky" to have "stung" by leech and one of my friend put a leech on his hand for the leech to suck his blood, but it didnt after quite a long time because he sparayed insect repellent.
AS for the previous batch, quite a few people got "stung" by the leeches and of of them had 2!! One of the ankle and one on the palm!! - "So Lucky!!"
~Returned~
Time for wash up, Dinner, campfire item..
~Campfire Time~
I had fun during the campfire but felt tired at the later part..
~After campfire~
We had debrief, went to take our Day pack and went to sleep... As for the guys, they were to stay behind. I heard from one of the guys tat our grp instructor told them not to make trouble for him tomorrow..
~Next Day~
The night was peaceful and quiet, but i have diffculties going to sleep.. We woke up at assembled at the same time, same place..
We had our breakfast and went for cleaning up. As for the NYAA students, we are to stayed behind to finish our unfinished reflection from last night because we have to pass up and its important than the rest!! Because of tat, my class NYAA students did not have to clean up, including me!!
~After some time~
We board the bus back to school. We had some fun during the bus ride to school. Because of the fact tat i do not have a partner, i had to sit with my guy classmate..
~Reach School~
Went home straight away with friends. I went home to put my camp stuff, re-tie my hair on the way to have luch with my friends. Went to 7-11 to buy stuffs and went home!!(:
