This camp is organised only for the secondary one.
The objective is to :
-Bond together
-Leadership skills and etc...
The camp is fun but tough at times.
They said that wherever we go, we must have buddy system to assure the safety of everyone's.
Since i am the only girl, i go with instructors.
The night walk is scary.
Actually, we are supposed to sleep in tents. But due to the poor weather, we sleep in bunks. I sleep with the instructions since i am the only girl in secondary one. But we have the experience of pitching the tents...
We are split into groups of three. With the instructors choice.
The name of the three groups are: Sotong
: penguin
: Polar
I am in the Sotong group and my group emerged the champion. Penguin is the second and Polar is the third.
The prize i share among the whole squad. The prize consist of : 2 packets of tidbits
: 1 packet of sweets
In the end, after all of them took, it only left five sweets while all of them take more of it. The tidbits: 1 packet i did not eat and the another only a few slices. For that i dont think its special about being the champion tem.
When we travel from one place to another, we need to run and cannot walk. If caught, they will ask you to run or even the whole squad will get punished to run here and there as fast as we can. If still there is someone alking or jog every slowly, we need to repeat until we get to the instructors' expection. (same as usual training)
When we need to answer the instructor's question, we need to shout it out loudly, clearly and short. If we did not get the instructors' expections, we need to do it over again until we get it.(same as usual training)
We ended the camp by : We stand in a circle, spread out.
The instructors come to us one by one to speak to us about what is the places that we need to improve on and we have done well in indiviually.
I did not get the best champer award but its okay to me. That does not make a difference. Actually, i did not aim for the best camper award. But i just do the best that i can.
About the waking up :
6.30am , we are suppose to be assembled in the parade square and be ready by then. 6.30am have not reached and i am already at the parade square waiting for them. When the instructors went up to the boys bunk, all of them are still sleeping soundly. By about 6.40++ then they come down to assemble. The boys said that i sleep with instructors, of course earlier then them.
When we assemble at thge parade square, we found one of our squad mate not with us. The whole squad, including me, went to find him. We could not find him. But at last, the instructors found him.
One of my squad mate, had his name tag missing right after his bath. The whole squad, including me, went to find for him. But still of no use.
The century:
All of us were given a number 1 - 4. We broke into team according to the number given(example: all the 2s toether form a group). It was a great experience and i have lots of fun.
1st: They show us all the different places and then we are to walk in groups and do it ourselves all over again. This activity needs team sprit.
