Back from STC.. Ache from head to toe.. I wonder how long will it last..

DAY 1:

Fall in in school at 11.45am. Jun Guo is asked to teach us knots that are needed to use for the tents. In the end, its Li Ting and Vanessa taught me..

After which, bag check and Q&A session.

On the bus:

We sang and said cheers all the way from school to the Jetty.

When we reached the Jetty, my school had to split sit one boat and the extra 4 with Hougang Sec..

Reached Pulua Ubin:

We had to walk from the Jetty all the way to the Campsite. We had to sing and shout cheers all the way. Half way through, i had stiches which was said to have drank a lot of water by gulping down.. I told my Instructor and i walked with her while the teacher Ms Lim joined them because she was too enthusiastic as them..

I walked for a while and she helped me to carry my bag for a distance and then Jun Guo helped me because my stitches simply just cannot go away until much later..

We fall in with various school and cleared the admin things such as medical history..

The first activity we did was pitching of tents.. Girls only had 19, we built 3 tents which consist of 6 girls for 2 tents and the last were 7 girls in a tent. My tent was the one that consist of 7 girls.

Then we proceed to bathe. I did not go to ATC on the first day last year. I heard from my grpmates that it was better as the Instructors separated 3 grps to eat first and the rest to bathe first. This makes the toilet not to be cramp for us girls as we had only 6 cubicles to bathe while guys are like open shower which they can all bathe at the same time. My grp eat first. When some of my grpmates eat or cook half-way, we found that we do not have enough time left to bathe. One of my grpmate and the other from the same school, went to the instructor to ask for time extension. The time extension was 15 mins. But some of us still fall -in late.

After which, we had time for camp preparation. We had to come up with a grp name, cheer and performance item for each grp. When we has settled, one of the instructors asked for campfire committee which consist of all the 8 different schools. Each school, they need a male and a female except for Monfort and Peicai which are boys school. They joked about if there is a girl in the schools, then thats different. These 2 schools, 2 male each. As for the only girl in my unit, i had no choice but to go up.

~Wash up & Bed time~

DAY 2:

Only sleep for less than a min. Cannot sleep the whle night because 2-3 ppl from my tent kept talking the whole night. After they stopped talking, i still could not sleep. Most of us from my tent could not sleep beacuse of the constant talking between the 2-3 of them.We coukld not say anything about it to them because we were afraid we might spoil the friendship and might be difffcult to get along and the worse thing was that we are sleeping at the same tent which will make the situation worse.

We are to fall-in at 06 00 the next morning and movement are allowed only 05 30 onwards. One of my grpmates had an alarm "clock" and was adjusted 06 15 so that we have time to wake up, tie our hair and etc..

We got scolded for not greeting the Instructors the night before and that morning too. One of us said that we wanted to greet as a whole but they said it was okay to greet indiviually when we see them.

Next, we proceed on to PT. We did One set of PT & one of the instructors announced for campfire commitee to gather and do 5 BX - which was worser compared to them. In th end, we were spared from PT and carried on for our campfire preparation. Actually, we could entirely got off t ehook for PT. But 1-2 from Bowen wanted PT, so we did 20 jumping jacks, star jumps and pumpings each. After which, we form into a circle to discuss our knowledge of the songs and to familiarise among ourselves.

Then, we had our breakfast and fall in trogether. Out of the 16 of us, 8 of us have to go the Sec 2s side to teach while the others stay to teach the Sec 3s.

After which, we had a series of game cycle: Jetty Jump, Land Expedition and Intermediate Rope Challenge (3 Stories High)

After which, Campfire committee meet for the final time before the actual campfire. We did the script, arrangements and familarise the songs and run through the scripts and everything..

The most Important event.. The CAMPFIRE!!

It started off quite smooth;y, but at the ending, we kind of lost ourselves.. We had forgotten the cheers & the CIs had to help us.. Overall, it was good.

~Grp debrief and mass debrief

~Wash up and went to bed~

Day 3:

Woke up at 06 00. However on our way to wash up, we did not see any CIs sitting there. This time, i think we fall-in punctually and maybe slightly later. No mention about it.

We skipped Pt and went for breakfast. Campfire Commitee met up for the last time and talked about our performance. We were treated strawberry tea by our CI in - charge. We had two cold 1.5 litres of strawbrry tea to share among 16 of us.

Then, we carried on to dismantle our tents.

After which, it was our Area Cleaning Time. My grp are asked to clean up the tents. When one of the CIs check the foldiongs of the tents,we did 110+ as our punishments. We did the third set half-way and one of the TOs stop the instructor and we proceed to mend the incorrect sheet. Without him, we had to do at least 150 squads.

After that, my knees ache.

After squads, some of us were sent off to the toilet to clean it up. It was after so long that my grpmate helped me to tell one of the CIs that i had blisters and cramp.

I felt pain on my toes since the first day but i only told them the last min.

Then,we had awards for the best male and female campers and the best grp. My grp got the best grp. But I do not know why we got the best grp. I think its because we are the most enthusiastic grp of all?(:

Lastly, we had photo-taking session for everyone and as a squad.

Then, we separated into our own units and fall -in to wait for our instructors' instructions...

We walked back to the Jetty and the same time. But this time, it rains. We were dropped off at the Interchange and I went back from there talking bus, some waited for their parents to pick thejm up while the others ent to eat lunch with their camp bags.

~End of Camp~

Going to eat dinner soon..
Signed off,

NPCC Day was intially on the 10 May annually. However, this year we celebrated so much later because of the elections, public holidays and the exams going on. Today we had our NPCC Day..

During the parade, I realised that i cannot hear the national anthem being sung and pledge being said by the rest of the school, especailly the pledge because we said it so loud that we covered their voices (:

We did not make much mistakes as compared to to last year. We rehearsed it this year but i cannot say so for last year. Last year we were noticed last min about NPCC Day and we learn or refresh our memory of our chosen "weapon" just the day itself, before assembly..

We had to wear our full-u before recess and change to mufti during recess for sec 3-5. For the sec1s, they have not take their uniform yet so they do not have to change. For sec 2s, they are going to field trip and are told to change to mufti. But some of them change to school-u instead.

I had P.E. lesson today and i had to change to my P.E.attire. I went to the toilet first and asked one of my friends to pass the message to the other person that i will be changing there and ask them to meet me there because i have to take a longer time to change out. In the end, they did not come to find me. I did not know its either that friend of mine did not pass the message or they simply do not care about me.During P.E. lesson, they did not smile as what they usually do and simply "ignored" me.

After P.E. lesson, they did not wait for me and went straight to make their IC because our time was scheduled to be 9am, right after our P.E. lesson. I went up to take my things and proceed to do my IC with them "ignoring" me all the way.

After they had made their IC, they still did not wait for me. They went straight to recess as it was our recess time then.

Even after school, they did not wait for me and went off. Normally if one of them were slow, they will wait or one another. As for me, the did not bother about me and the three of them just left without looking at my direction once..

They had done that alot of times and seems to outcast me and ignore me more and more. I did not do anything wrong and they do not share anything with me..

I wonder if theyt reallt treat me as friends or just pretended to me. If they pretended to me, its very obvious and they do not have to pretend?

Sarah came back to Singapore since last Saturday. There will be another week and she had to go back to New Zealand..

Met up with her on last Mondeay with some of the people from 2 Dil'10(: The guys went home after they ate their lunch. I stayed with her till 5pm before going home. Other than us, she met some of her netball friends and one of her senior too..

Someone appeared out of the blue and talked to her, but she doesnt want to tell me who is it? "Who is this guy?" i wondered. "Why is she so secretive?".. She promised to tell me things but she didnt..

Hope that i will be able to meet her before she goes back(:

On Saturday, my brother called me to have breakfast with him nearby outside. Intially, i agreed. But in the end, i called him back to tell him that by the time i walked there, it will be afternoon because it is already late morning- 11 o'clock.

Amanda, Alvin and my brother rweached home at around 12.30pm. Amanda and Alvin came up to my room and told me to change as we are going out soon, the shuttle bus leaves at 2.30pm and he had something else to do along the way.

We took MRT to SengKang and alight there. We went to Compass Point, trying to find a shop where my brother can take passport photo. In the end, we found a machine which can take passport size photo. After which, we walked a few steps to buy "Cup Walker".

We walked out of Compass Poinrt and saw the shuttle bus. We ran across the bridge and managed to board the shuttle bus. There were only a few ppl on the bus. We went to Punggol End for prawn fishing. We rented two rods, each $30. My brother shared with Amanda and i shared with Alvin. My brother helped me to pay $14 while Alvin paid the remaining $16.

The process was slow. The three of them taught me how to "fish" for prawns. My brother taught me how to grab the prawn and not let it hurt me. I was afraid to do so, but my brother pushed my hand towards it and i managed to grab it. It was fun!!

We went to play "acrade". Then we took the shuttle bus back to Opposite Compass Point. Instead of taking the bus straight home, we walked along the night market and bought food to share.

After walking the night market, My brother and I took bus 119 straight home with Amanda. Alvin went home himself.

When we reached home, i went to bathe. After i bathe, I started my homework. While doing, my brother asked me to go out together to pack food home.

Eating half-way, my parents, sister and maid came home from the airport. Amanda told me some of her past and we chatted happily. All of us went to watch television.

~It was a fun day~
